The filing
Articles filed with the Registraire des entreprises (REQ) or Corporations Canada. In most files, the certificate of constitution is issued within 24 to 48 hours on the regular timeline. For Quebec corporations with a numbered name, incorporation is often completed the same day.

How fast is online incorporation?
In most files, the certificate of constitution is issued within 24 to 48 hours on the regular timeline, once your file is complete. The minute book follows within days, the time needed to prepare the organizational documents and collect the electronic signatures (if requested).
What information do I need before filling out the form?
Your chosen name or the decision to use a numbered designation, the head office address, the names and addresses of the directors and shareholders, the share distribution and a payment card. Unsure about a choice, such as the classes of shares? The lawyer goes over it with you at the review stage.
Can I choose between provincial and federal incorporation?
Yes, the form covers both regimes. As a general rule, the Quebec statute suits a business active mainly in Quebec, while the CBCA can make sense for a business operating in several provinces. The lawyer confirms the choice with you before filing.
What happens after the incorporation?
The corporation files its initial declaration with the REQ, generally within 60 days, then an annual updating declaration every year (normally at the same time as the tax returns). We take care of filing the initial declaration for you.
Do I ever need to come in person?
No. The form, the consultation with the lawyer, the signatures and the delivery of the minute book all happen remotely. An in-person meeting at our Laval office remains possible if you prefer one, but it is not required.
